it might catch you!!! i just heard that on the news. thought it would make a good "tip of the day". apperently when you run it gives them something to chase and puts them into an attack mode. you should stand your ground, make yourself as big as possible and try to scare it away.

Often animals will be more scared of you than you are of them. They are used to having to fight for survival, and we look big and mean to any animal, except maybe sharks, elephants etc. Generally though, anything smaller than us will be afraid of us and will only attack if they think we are weak.

I don't believe it is good enough to merely stand your ground. A lot of animals enjoy fighting (especially the males) and if they feel your fear they will attack you anyway. You need to stand your ground this is true, but you must also be prepared to kill the thing if it goes for you. The animal will sense the fight in you and should leave you alone. If you stand there shaking, and the animal is hungry I believe it will attack you anyway.

maybe this would be better in outdoor growing. they have been spotted evrywhere lately. that time of year i guess. this morning there was a sighting at an elementary school. 2 months ago an older couple were walking on a trail and one jumped out and bit onto the mans face. the wife tried to beat it off (couldn't get it hard). he yelled " i have a pen in my shirt pocket !!!" she grabbed the ink pen and repeatedly stabbed it in the eye until the pen broke. then he gouged at the eye until it let go. the guy almost died. spent a few weeks in the hospital. i think they were in their 70s, just walikng down a trail. no warning. this was in a suburban area.

A friend of mine he was reading on the internet of this couple on the trails in the woods with a horse, two blood hounds and a Ass(donkey).
The man's wife was riding the horse and the man was riding the ass, when this mountain lion jumped out and challenged them, the horse jumped up on its two back legs and knocked the women off and the man got off the ass to try and intimidate it, the dog's ran away as did the horse, but who would of saved them? thats right the ass, it charged at the mountain lion and bit its neck and tossed it on the ground repeating that for a minute or two then proceeded to stomp on the cat and bite it over and over tossing it like a rag doll... during this the mans wife took about 5 pictures of this taking place im going to ask my friend for the pictures so i can put them on this site
but saved by the ass :P it fucking killed the mountain lion!!! crazy hey?
