ive never used a screen in a bong, i dont think ive even ever seen a screen in a bong lol

Why is there a screen in the bong? No bong I ever smoked (that is my favorite way to smoke) had a screen in it. Are you sure it is a bong?
Maybe try running hot water through it for a few minutes or soak it over night full of goo gone.
