Ive done it with an oz. no problem. except I would not talk to people and wore casual clothes.
I want to do it again but with a qp and was thinking that maby the cops would bring a dog on board for no reason to sniff for drugs.
Dont know if thats real or just me.

Amtrak... 3 days .. how do you plan to hide the qp? smell might be a problem after awhile ..? Maybe you can buy a gallon of paint .. tripple wrap the weed and emtty some paint out and put the weeed in there and seal it shut ...(be carefull you dont make a mess removing some paint

Not a bad idea. I'll keep that one in mind. I was thinking about packing it in motor oil.

Just fill a dark colored nalgene with oil or something and put it in there (wrapped/bagged many times of course) Hang it off your backpack and no one will be the wiser.

just wrap it good and keep it with you or on top so you can ditch it if you need to. If they cant prove it is your luggage, they cant get you. Amtrak usually is pretty clear though. If you were doing terrorist acts, would you want to be stuck on a train? Or if you were hauling a kilo of smack, would you want to be on a train?

It's been YEARS since I've ridden the Amtrak, and when I did it was near the border (U.S./Mexico), so the real issue was when INS would board, some people would just fucking scatter. For some reason I doubt that the western trains are monitored very closely.

Question, though, why take the train when it's about the same cost to fly (last time I checked)?

shit that train is so comfortable to spread out in and you can walk around and at one time they had smoking cars but not anymore. when I was younger I would chief that smoking car all night and no one would say shit.
