People who think they're trolls usually aren't. They're just assholes. True trolling is an art.

I find them funny at times.. Lately they just take it overboard. It used to be more funny when it was a more hidden thing. Like they'd not make it noticable that they were on a trolling prowl. That's true trolling IMO. The new trolling is just being a dick and getting the other person mad then saying haha I trolled you. Not as funny as it used to be.

But there's still a couple of good trolls out there.. If you think I'm talking about you, I'm not. GTFO.

And the cause of trolling is usually boredom.. Or they're in need of a good laugh. Both very normal things.

RIU is full of trolls.. and yeah it's pretty funny here. But there's other sites that don't need trolls to be a chill and funny place.

Yes RIU has always been very very bad with trolls. Which, I completely do not understand. It's a very simple job to weed-out trolls & maintain a respectful environment for your users. That doesn't mean you can't curse, or throw jabs with someone over a topic. It simply means, you throw a party at your house, an asshole nobody likes comes over, you kick em out before they start to bring down the morale of the guests. RIU, unfortunately, does not understand this basic concept. Or, they simply do not care. I rather not say they're lazy, for the mere fact that it gives us a bad rep as a marijuana forum, due to the stereotype. But Hell, it does seem like laziness at times. As a past user of RIU, I remember seeing plenty of my fellow RIU'ers get banned for arguing with a troll, rather then banning the troll. Doesn't make much sense?

But, I'm back in hopes that the moderating has gained some sort of professionalism since I left. But, I am missing some users, while remembering others (who I can't believe are still here) - lol. To answer the OP, trolls are bad. Funny sometimes, but for the most part, a waste of time/day.
