I can only imagine. Do you use them for milk? Beef? Both? Or are they purely a hobby?

We have a couple girls that we'll breed in a few years for milk and the rest we're raising out to sell to market, maybe keep one for our freezer.

Common actually. Dairy farms only need to breed back their cows for milk so the bull calves are kind of a waist of time to them. The girls are worth a lot more.
