Corn pricesup 45 percent and soy up 22 percent already this year and the drought is only going to get worse. Everyone should keep an eye on this. Coming months food prices will be rising.

united states throws away 96,000,000,000 (96 Billion) Lbs of food a year.

in Haiti a lot of people have to supplement their bellys with mud cakes. Actual mud/dirt mixed with a bit of salt/sugar and vegetable extract.

europe is just as guilty.

but the majority seem to be rich kids, nothing wrong with that, going to a dumpster to gather food when you know you live in a nice area and know you can damn well buy groceries is a lot different to being skint and feel you have to go to the trash for food. They touch on this in the doc too.

Corn is already 3 times higher than it was 2 years ago. This is going to ruin small farmers in those areas even more.

Luckily I've managed to get hay for this Winter ahead of time and I have a barter deal worked out with a pig for a hopper of corn.
