Lots or reasons but dogs arent supposed to like pineapple. You can get them to stop eating their own shit
by adding the juice to their diet. Shit eating can be very hard to break. Teach the dog a word that
tells them to leave it and catch him eating and use the word as much as possible.
Also clean the shit up so they can not get at it while your gone. Dogs could be cleaning the shit or they could be smelling undigested
food in the shit. Dogs are gross but I still let mine lick me in the mouth. OR just let him eat the catshit for you and stop kissing him.

Ive always heard that it could be a nutritional deficiency as to why they would eat crap,but i dont know for sure.

A dog I used to have used to not like to go out. She would sneak over to the corner in the kitchen and sneak a shit. Then turn around and eat it because she knew she would get in trouble. It was winter and she hated the cold. lol As for eating cat shit, it may be the protein in the cat's food.

He might be lacking some nutrition. I saw an episode of dog whisperer and dog was lacking potassium, catch him in the act and give him some banana, try to find the episode on you tube, I'd do it for you but I'm on my phone right now. By the way did he get any bigger than expected? Stay high.

He just got thru getting his rabbies shot and he's at 12 lbs. the vet says he'll hit 20-25 lbs.

damn,that dog you had was fucked up.you must have abused it to make it that scared it ate its own shit.most dogs take a shit and walk away from it.
and i cant believe some ppl let their dogs lick them in the mouth,you can get deseases like that.i love my dog,but id never let him lick my face or mouth.
