I think u mean El Raval, I live very close to that area. Got to be a bit careful at night.

Spain is not doing well, unemployment is high. Many Ex-pats have gone back to their countries. It's like survival of the fittest here now. If u don't work for urself or have a pretty good job then ur f****d. Tourism will always be good here with 300 days of sunshine and beach weather from May to Nov.

Make sure u guys give me a 'Hola' when u arrive !!! I'll point u in the directions of the Associations !! I went shopping in Cali when the $ was weak against the GBP.

that's it, el raval, i can see how it could be a bit hairy at night, but that's what i dug about it, lol.. i just loved it's maze like streets.. i had probably the best sammich i had in spain in a shit bar in that area.. i was just really stoned at the time, i think that's what it was, lol..

i also scored sum killer hash right next to the big kitty cat, which was nice ...

hey laha. watt's the weather like in barcelona in the winter time m8?? i was there in may and it was perfect weather imo.. the days were nice and warm, but at night i needed like a long sleeve shirt on but i found it to be the perfect weather..

i'd imagine it would get pretty warm in the dead of summer, just not sure what the weather is like in the winter time is all.. i know it can't be that cold as formula one teams do most of their winter testing at circuit d'catalunya...

It's pretty humid sometimes but there's loads of outdoor stuff to do and I've recently started putting the TV outside on the small terrace at night. It's beach weather now but I'm lazy so I go on the terrace a lot.

It can be dodgy at night, u were in Rambla Raval - land of the Morroccans, quite close. Close enough for me to hear women screaming at night when they get their bags snatched. I've even seen it happen right in front of me on lunch break at 1pm once!! I only ever usually use a bag which is across shoulder. That way u have both arms free !! It's not violent compared to other cities though. Seriously, I feel safe here, it's ok to drive home late but I wouldn't walk around 'those' rds between 2-7am.

It's got a lot to offer but will it be the next Amsterdam? - I think so. Especially when they close the coffee shop tourist doors next year !!!
