25 years old...feeling like it's all downhill from here (vent)
well i'm back home from the oilfield, on a rather extensive vacation...feels nice to not have a schedule at all, but I also feel sorta useless & bored at times
I've been working my ass off toward being a homeowner...in my mid-twenties I decided I was gonna start doing whatever it takes to buy a house (i refuse to pay high monthly rent for a place that isn't actually MINE).
That just felt like the logical progression toward independence & maturity...whereas everyone else my age seems to get knocked up/have a family and then their obligations and limited financial situation leave them STUCK. Yea...so many fucking smart people out there...
Coming home is nice in ways (i've missed the landscape/geography)...but in other ways just shitty...so many people my age now are married, or have kids, work 9-5 at an unsatisfying job....and that's it. Their lives have changed forever and they have no time for old friends like myself.
Not only that...but when I've looked to score weed while home, a lot of old "friends" CONSTANTLY try to RIP ME OFF cuz they know I have money. WHAT THE FUCK?!? This dude i've been friends with FOREVER just responded to me today that he was indeed picking up tomorrow and asked how much I wanted. I asked how much for an oz and he finally responded..."need like $20 extra for gas....so like $375...headies." I txted back "lol no thanks" and he says ok do you want just an 8th then? Again, I ask how much..."$60." Wait, so you're a friend, getting this probably WAY UNDER $350 and you're trying to make dough off your buddy by selling $60/8th?.
I said "get lost, do i look like a fucking bank to you?"

I remember conversing with you when you were planning the trip to the oilfield. I though to myself, I did: now there is a young man with grit. Made me feel that there are still some people who realize that America is what you make it. Respect then; respect now. You're among friends here imo. cn

It will get better dude. Imagine when you have your own house.. The weed you can grow in your own privacy.. Maybe you'll make some better friends and you can have the over to your actual HOUSE (no apartment). You'll have your own yard where you can make a garden and play fetch with your dog. Everything would be cool.
IMO, you have a nice plan going on. I'm 18 and want to go into the oil field buisness sometime soon too. I've seen how hard it is and you're a respectable dude for working your ass off.

thats real shitty. not sure what state your in but move to a state that has medical if your not. grow your own. no more jews. medical here has almost killed commercial anywhere nearby. top notch shit is only like 35 a bag. 240 an ounce. 200 if you know the right ppl. i dont pay anything. get the fuck outta that town.
