Yes I'm sure they appreciate all the help that they are freely given to purchase more drugs.

It's not to say that we just give the money away so they can buy more drugs.....we know that some people need help and we aren't going to say no to you just because you're a drug user.

I didn't read the whole thread, but have a few things to add so far.

I think it's crazy that some of you can look at a garbage truck and simply assume you know exactly how/where the money is being spent, and how they could instantly triple productivity. I promise you they have far more intelligent people than you that have already considered all the options like having a single man with a boom arm that loads cans/dumpsters vs the cost of multi manned units. The devil is in the details and there are a million factors you have neglected in your back of the envelope calculations. And garbage men do not have cushy jobs. They work their asses off. I know some garbage men. Many of them are in fact low lifes, and ex cons, but god damn do they have to work hard to get their paycheck. They earn every cent.

I can make as much as I do now by working 2 jobs for half the time each, but then I get no benefits from either. After paying for the same benefits out of pocket the equation tips back to full time, 2 part time jobs < 1 full time job
