Have you ever told a lie to someone? I think realistically we all have at some point, maybe some more than others.
So I was thinking, if everyone has told lies, then why is it such a shock sometimes when people lie?
I guess it has to do with what the lie was about, but do you kinda see what I'm saying?

I get what you're saying, but it doesn't make any sense in the real world. Just because everyone has told little lies here and there, doesn't excuse heinous, hurtful, or demeaning lies from being shocking.
