Your kids only had the option to learn spanish? Well that's your own school sytsems fault. In my old HS (I'm 18 )we had the option to learn german, french, spanish, and other languages that don't come to mind right now.

last time i checked, i have never heard of a school where learning a second language was mandatory (some colleges aside).
