    Clone Only Strains - Death-Star
'Death-Star' was originally bred around 2001-2002, by 'Team Death Star' who started revealing it to more elite growers in 2004 and enjoyed much attention from smokers throughout the American-Midwest and along the East Coast. It gained and attracted a lot of attention in 2010 when High Times wrote an article about the tightly-held strain.

It is trademarked for it's 'hashy' Sour Diesel taste and it's compact growth structure influenced by the Sensi Star father, that made it very popular for Midwest growers.

It produces rock-hard buds that are covered in trichromes to the point that the final cured buds appear to be an almost gray color, often times with light purple streaks when temps are dropped.

It's high is both mind-numbing Sour Diesel twist and narcotic body effects from the Sensi Star. It has the ability to still be an all-day smoke for high tolerance smokers and a knockout for those with lower tolerance.

    From wikipedia:

The origin of G-13 is likely one of the most perplexing of any strain, making it the subject of many urban legends. According to some accounts, in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s the CIA, FBI, and other government agencies collected the best strains from around the world. At a top-secret installation at the University of Mississippi, they bred many new super hybrids. Allegedly, a single cutting of this plant was liberated by an unnamed technician and bred for the masses. The cut, G-13, was said to be the 13th, and one of the most potent, in a series of pure Afghani strains. [2]

The facts, however, provide no substantiating evidence. Although cannabis researchers at the University of Mississippi did assemble a world-class cannabis collection during the late 1960s and early 1970s, there is no evidence that these researchers were ever involved in breeding high quality marijuana.[1]

    Soma seeds - NYC Diesel
    Genetik: Mexican Sativa x Afghani
    Indica: 40% / Sativa: 60%
    Flowering: 10 - 12 weeks
    Minimum yield: 25 grams

The N.Y.C Diesel has its roots in the Big Apple, a friend brought the seeds and said that it was the best pot he ever smoked, he had dreads down to the ground so I believed him. This Cannabis tastes and smells like Ripe Red Grap efruits, once you touch the fresh buds you can not smell the other strains in your room or garden. New York City Diesel will leave you an Exotic Taste, an Exotic Smell and an Exotic High.

soma got his diesel from a bagseed from a buddy from NYC or at least thats how soma described it. his diesel could be an s1 of original diesel, underdawg, sour d, or any other b/c it sounds like all of them in nyc gets mixed up pretty easily (due to similar heritage) unless youre really in the loop and have access to all of them and know heritage. that leaves a range of options for soma's expression of his bagseed diesel momma. and yes, his nyc diesel is not pure diesel, his first hybrid that won the awards was that diesel bag momma cross shanti's afghani/hawaiian male. i believe the current seeds sold by soma are a first backcross to his diesel mom.

Clone Only Strains - Strawberry Cough
    Aka: Kyle Kushmans Strawberry Cough

Texas Kid: Strawberry Fields is a 100% indica strain that originated in vermont. around 7 weeks flowering time. Breed for the taste and smell of strawberries, and to be able to finish before the first snow fall in Vermont. High yielder. from what I understand, the strain was given it's name because the breeder grew it for many years in with his strawberry plants, and claimed that the original scent of strawberries was intensified because of the way he grew the plants together. nevertheless, if his theories were correct or not, the worked plants in his field had developed a scent and smell that matched his freshest strawberries to a tee. But the high was not ideal for his prefrences(needed to be more cerebral). He took an outstanding pure haze male and crossed it with his best female flowering in his fields. These are essentially strawberry cough seeds, but not the clone that's going around. The SC pheno clone was found in sorting through dozens of these seeds that were given to kyle kushman. the SC clone yields very heavily from it's mother strawberry fields(which I was told the real deal is now extinct). Expect a minimun of five to six ounces per sc plant, and the real deal finish around 7.5 - 9 weeks depending on what you look at to harvest. each branch must be supported with at least one stalk, or the weight of the buds will cause your limbs and buds to hang on the ground.

Nebu: regarding the Strawberry Cough heritage, Strawberry Fields x Haze as I was told. Though Kyle (with whom I worked @ HighTimes and who provided the clone & details to me) had said it was a lonely (& lowly, he thought at first) clone, not seeds, which he received. He did not expect much (the 'breeder' had a very small, humble environment) and accepted the clone only to be polite ~ upon arriving home after a fairly long drive he opened the box where he had placed the clones and was suprised to catch the strong aroma of strawberries. At that moment he thought that it just might be something special. (which it really is!)

Awesome info dude...really appreciate it, fascinating stuff. Whats your opinion, if any, on the origins of White Widow?

Mr Nice Seedbank - Black Widow
A most infamous strain that since 1994 has won a number of awards, including the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1995, and has acquired acclaim from most corners of the globe - rightly so. It has a pedigree of parentage that combines a Brazilian Sativa with a South Indian hybrid. Basically, it is the original parents of White Widow changing its colors like its company. Indoors 10 weeks of flowering will be necessary to realize the immense resin production. In the northern hemisphere expect harvest around September/October, having planted as late as June. However, there is a chance that rain could reduce the expected yield. A highly recommended strain for amateur breeders - the male being preferable.

Family of breed: Brazilian sativa x South Indian Indica

this is what arjan has to say about ww, but i don't know if i believe him ...

Arjan: "Ingemar (De Sjamaan) invented WW already in 1987. [...] It was called Arnhem’s Wonder and already won the first HL cup in 1989. [...] For those who don’t believe this, please call Coffeeshop Catweazel or Roger from the grow shop; they worked with Ingmar for a long time. Roger has always sold the clones he had. He had a famous grow shop in Nijmegen. I bought the male and female among other plants in 1992 and only crossed them in 1994. I did not have to do any breading on the White Widow at that time because Ingemar had already done it for us. And to this day you can still buy original clones of the White Widow in that area of Holland."
