What is Your Favourite Anime?

I never could get into anime. The art style annoys me, the big eyes, spiky hair etc, there is little variance at all. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but the way they talk and what they do just seems weird and fruity. I just don't get it. It just seems that liking japanesey stuff is just the cool thing to do right now.

I lived in Japan during the best anime years '80-84 -the robot anime years. I had my anime untranslated with all original vocal intensity intact. Came to the states in '84 and what the fuck was popular here? GI Joe, Transformers, go go gadget and later robotech bullshit! GO"BOTS" "ROBO"tech! What the fuck! My childhood was truncated after arriving back to the states.

No offense taken... I've been a fan for over half my life, I've got no problem with you calling out the people that just jump on whats pop...

There are many rewrites as translation doesn't go well sometimes and also in the states we are too conservative compared to the Japanese and the english dubs suffer in that regard too.
