when i type out emails and correspond with people for work then yes; i agree; punctuation and grammer are very important in conveying that you are intelligent. when i'm on IM, text messages with friends, or an anonymous cannibus forum i could care less. everyone is entitled to their opinion. and since it's his post...he's entitled to type it however he wants.

i don't know where i fall in the whole scale of "younger" or "older" generations. i'm 35 years old. one thing i have learned though is that every generation bitches about their parents and the rules they have to deal with. and then when they get older they bitch about the "kids these days." you say you expect more out of the younger generation. kids today can build you a computer from the ground up with a handful of tools that would fit in their pocket. they can design a website in the time it takes you to turn your computer on. this issue has nothing to do with generations. it's a person's point of view. you just happen to have a different one.

No matter your intelligence level, you sound stupid when you try and post all gangsta. I may be borderline grammar nazi, but I can deal with typos and honest misspellings. But purposely posting that way can make some people dismiss what you're saying because it's difficult to read and you sound stupid.

Not saying you are, but when you post that way it makes you appear dumb and you won't be taken as seriously

I expect intellectual conversations and possibly proper grammer whenever I converse with individuals who are mentally capable. Why have you used punctuations and paragraphs in your response like so many others?

Those who decide to leave punctuation, spelling mistakes, bad grammar, and all sort's of non-words in their post make it hard for others to believe they are intelligent, right or wrong!

At 35 your still part of the younger generation , and the kids that hack together these websites are just that hacking together websites.
