Aww man...that is much braver than Rosa Parks I think...Rosa was looking at what? having to walk, maybe getting attacked by dogs? A water hose? This freaking woman right here is going to be publicly stoned to death, or have her head and/or hands removed...this is some serious stuff...

Effin crazy! Religious police.... That's so crazy they're not allowed to show their hair or paint their nails. Middle Eastern/ Asian countries have some whacky laws, especially against women.

As a young woman I remember being asked to leave in the middle of bidding on a group of 5 skyscrapers for being a woman. I was told that it was for men only, even though the people doing the work were 80% women. This happened in front of 5 or 6 other bidders, all male. Embarrassed, really embarrassed.

WTF?! In the US? What year if you don't mind me asking? That is out of this world, why would you be allowed in the meeting or w/e it was for the bidding, if you weren't allowed to bid?

Please young women don't let all the work that your older sisters have done be unraveled. I can't tell how hard it used to be.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a police officer, women get desk duty or juvie duty. Then I wanted to be a jockey, I won't be allowed to race, but I could be an morning warm up rider.

Then I went into a field where I was the 6th woman to graduate from my program. When I was done I was told I could attain the lowest level in that profession. Soooo not true.

Please don't let it all be for naught.

It happened in the late 70's or early 80's. It was a cattle call for open bidding on a chain of buildings that were owned by Haredi Jews (I didn't know that). The person who set up the meeting didn't expect that our company would send a woman. I was actually taken to a revolving door and with one hand in the middle of my back shoved into and they spun the door so I was facing the outside.

It could have been a movie scene. Unbelievable and I have never forgotten it.
