I've delivered bread around there. Its crazy seeing the different hoods in Philly interacting and going about their daily business. It was nice seeing kids going to school and people sweeping their stoops and sidewalks in Little Italy. There's warmth. Reminds me of Peru. Travelling to Center City you see the difference with the yuppies walking past each other without so much as a head nod.
Nifty Fifties is ok. The shakes and burgers are pretty good everything else is kind of meh. Philly is a strange city. Its still very small town where everybody has at least heard of everybody else but the crime is retarded.
Good luck Dannyboy! I wish I had known you for all of these years. I still haven't smoked in Philly although I'm there every few months.
