yeah its impossible to find out what strain it is just by a picture

Those smaller fan leaves are an Indica trait.. which narrows it down to about 500 possible strains)
Describe the taste and aroma, along with any other distinguishing traits you can think of and I'll be able to narrow it down for you. If not the exact strain, at least a very good idea of it's lineage.

Looks like AK47 is somewhere in it's lineage to me. Wondering if he gets any of that little licorice taste on the exhale. If it's sweet smelling and/or tasting then I'm going in the wrong direction.

Anyway, I agree with Johnny, it looks AK-47 ish to me. I've only had a few times but...
I guess you want to know what it is so you can look for more of the same if you like it, rather than wanting to know what it is before smoking.
A smoke report it called for.
Though I don't really get acquiring mystery weed...
I've been there before. When it was still illegal here, it was pretty routine to have to buy bags from people who had no clue what it was. Sometimes you have to take whatever is available to you.
