My personal experience with hot glue is that it is messy and doesn't stick well to anything, not even wood. It will fill the gap but it won't adhere to glass at all. I would use silicone caulk.

to get an agnle with the gasgets cut one in half and then hot glue the other gasket to the bottle and that should hold it at an angle kinda hard to explain but cut the gasket or female as you call it and cut one in half glue or stick it to the bottle in your fashion make sure it looks like u open part upside down and then glue the other one to it in such a way to make the slide sit at the angle you want.

Silicone caulk, and forget about the rubber grommet.

no offense but why would you use hot glue on wood... there is something called wood glue lol. the hot glue was just a suggestion to try cause its cheap, i got mine for under five.

I only cited wood because it is porous and hot glue won't work on anything that is not porous. After it cools it will pop off of almost anything you put it on. It isn't even an adhesive, just a filler really.

not gonna lie im not an expert on glues. i just know that hot glue works great when i make bongs so i was just suggesting it, thats all. i meant no disrespect was just confused on what you meant with using it on wood but i see what you mean.
