ive got a 99 ford ranger and its a turd. a turd when i bought it 6 years ago and a turd today.
but this turd( with all of its minor bullshit) has cost me very little since i bought it.
my little bro spends $500 a month for a big bad dodge hemi that does kick ass, no doubt, but wont wait 2 years before finding something new.
where my old turd is working just fine (short of miner bull) without the monthly payment.

Buy an Audi if you can afford it. I personally own a 99.5 Audi A4 1.8t quattro but with lots of mods. Very fun car.

Audi's are glorified volkswagens, and only chicks drive Jettas!

J/K The A8 is one sweet ride.

As far as the Caddilac goes. The CTS is basically a Saab! When yu make the choice for the cadillac you are turning down the BMW 3 the Audi A4 the Volvo S40 and Mercedes for basically the same money.
