I know im going to get a hell of alot of negative replys about the thoughts that im about to share. But please instead of shoving your opinion down all our throats, how about we try talk about something for once.

So im sure most of you have either participated in or seen the threads on "stealing ballasts" and all the rest. Its obvious most believe stealing is wrong. As do i. But how much money from taxes doesn't go into our hospitals and our roads and what its should be going to? Thats stealing on a mass level.

No more than 15% of my country's Cigarette and alcohol taxes are documented as being used, thats alot of money the man is taking.

What im trying to say is that stealing is wrong. But when someone is constantly lying to you, taking your money and controlling your life's... Is it still so wrong?

Were merely swapping goods. Its like barter. Not that my logic here is very mature, neither is the man's. They lie to there people. Steal there money. Invade others land. Govern our right to use substances... the list goes on. Yet stealing from them is sooo wrong. Am i the only one that thinks this way.?

Maybe your government is all good and your happy, but we dont all live in your state or your country.

Apparently park/street lights are not very worth it anyway so i don't recommend stealing them.

Now il just wait for the abuse, like always, Sticking up for ones opinions often ends in negative responses. Type with aggression.

I believe stealing from people and or small buisness is wrong, even semi big buisness'
but like with all things in life no mater how bad or good, there is a time and place for everything.
While that place might not be a street light I think that it needs to be somwear. the only problem is that by doing so, we are not screwing over the man, we are inadvertanly screwing ourselves. They will still skim whatevery they want off the top, tell their lies, spend money just as they were before, but all the money that is being spent wisely will have a small dent in it.
stores like wall mart, home depot, and other huge chains, they should be robbed. not for there money, or for mass amounts of products, but I think most people should steal a few things from them, they give little if anything back to the comunity... as a matter of fact they take away from the comunity. and they certainly can handle people taking things from them
also big chains expect to be stolen from... thats the cost of owning a big chain.
Franchises shoudlnt be stolen from either, because your not hurting the big franchise owner, your hurting the little guy who wanted to open a burger place but couldnt because mcdonalds takes away all there buisness so he decides to open a mcdonalds and work for them... he gets screwed... but mcdonalds is a terible company the things they do are discusting... but ray krock (the "inventor of mcDs") was an amazing buisnessman... and a very interesting person... nomatter how big of a piece of shit

but this is just my increadibly twisted view of morality... I dont think its twisted but many do for some reason... to me its just logical... I dont know.. you decide.... just dont cry!!!!

a great book about the evils of mcdonalds is... called... um... um... um... fast food nation... I heard the movie sucked but it was a great book. it really opend up my eyes...
theres this chapter on flavor factories... I had no idea! its nuts... almost everything we eat or drink has flavor chemicals... and they can make a liquid that taste just like cheese burgers... or dirt!!! and make it callorie free... crazy shit... not all bad too... except that you find out theres shit in the meat... but I still eat there now and then :/

I used to live in Canada and really liked it. I want to go back but I have to live in the southern heat and NOT FLORIDA. Sorry friends don't let friends move to that state....ewwwwwwwwww.

tckfui - agreed man. Its exactly what i meant. Stealing lights is not really the smartest way of "getting back at the man" but ye. I guess some of just have different views on things in life. Your post made my day. I really had to get this off my chest.

I'm considering relieving the government of a street light myself. I can't afford all the ballast and things to have a proper HPS. I pay taxes, and get very little of what I pay back in return, it all goes to immagrants and "the war on terror" why shouldn't I get a little back. It might cost £20 to replace it and an hour of labour( which will stimulate the economy). I just hope I don't get electrocuted. Screw the MAN!

I look at it like this...Two wrongs don't make a right. Our governments are corrupt, greedy, and ruthless. Is that what you want to be? We aspire to be different. We aspire to hold ourselves to a higher standard, yet we forsake our own morals to get back at them? I've known people who live like this. Guys who'll steal from there employer just because they're apart of a franchise and they think they can afford the loss. But when someone steals from them they wanna cry foul. Stealing from the "man" doesn't effect the "man", It just makes things harder for your average citizen. Do I feel screwed? Yes. Do I feel like im on a big hamster wheel at times? Yes. But stealing for retribution isn't going to make me feel better.
