My ebay account was hacked. sumone used it to list fraudulent items, I went to log in and my password was changed so i went to my email amd saw that i had a question about a watch that was listed to my account Wtf is wrong with ppl tryin t screw me like that, it aint right. it's all resolved now but i'm still kinda pissed. has this happend to anyone els before. is thair a way to change my ip address or is that just useless, i changed all my passwords

Yes. I caught my theif in time and told E-bay to never change my password. E-bay is supposed to send you an e-mail for the request for a password change. Thats the only way I caught it in time.

this may be common knowledge, but another way to protect urself from fuckheads like these is to make a really "cryptic" password... something that has combination of letters, numbers, alphanumerics... like "$m0k@ b0w1"... (translated to english = smoka bowl). but b/c its got a variety of shit its WAY harder to "hack"... of course it doesnt change anythign if ur real culprit is malware actually on your computer that reports your password back to the fuckhead that created it. then no password is safe.

best solution = buy a mac! they dont get hacked. (did i just open a can of worms?)

An alternate, even more secure password method would a combination of what he has said PLUS abbreviations. While $m0k@ b0w1 is not easily guessed, one could figure it out if they knew you personally.

To make them the most secure, passwords need to be hard to guess but easy to remember for you. I like to take the cryptic way to the next level. To show you, I'll use the beginning of the Gettysburg Address. "Four score and seven years ago..." You could turn that into "4s&7Ya" or "!f5@Sya!" or backwards "aY5@s4" The possibilities for this are endless. Use your imagination. The more random, the better.
