Good morning friends.
I am not sure if this is true ... as it just hit the interwebs ... but it seems as
Hamid Karzai converted to Christianity.

SOURCE as I am investigating this.

Apparently many .... riots across Afghanistan have began.
What are your thoughts on the subject ?

How would you react to your leader converting to Islam ?

All thoughts welcome.

Well, first of all, why would he do such a thing? I mean it could be true, but there would have to be some very strong underlying reasons. It would be a strange decision to make though, I mean already, just for being a new president in a new government era for Afganistan there have been many atempts on his life. By saying that he has converted to Christianism would just seem stupid and endanger him even more, and also take away most of his power over his people.

I dunno, kinda wierd if you ask me, and maybe a little suspect. Maybe the Americans paid him 6 billion dollars to convert hahahaha.
I guess we will find out soon enough, what is really going on.

Nice find though Puffer!

Nice to know Afghanistan has tea party birthers as well.

As to your question... I don't care what imaginary friend my president or anyone else has. As long as they don't attempt to force me to believe in their imaginary friend.

That is a very wise statement Fungus. I just am worried by nature of people and their imaginary friends. As these friends ... influence the thought process of the given leader ... as he/she navigates the agenda of a given country through his/her conception rooted in a given belief (dictated by the imaginary friend). Look at the Crusades and what is going on in the middle east .... (aka us Christians vs them Muslims vs them Jews)

Did you hear that Russia had 25 percent of its grain harvest destroyed by drought? I think we should be more worried about that.

Blazac89 you are right man .... that will produce immediate effects on the prices of grain ... that is for sure.

You know what really affects the thought process of leaders? Cold hard cash.
Hahaha, my thoughts exactly, then he might use that cash and turn around and spend it on starting a whole new terrorist gang! America once again starting it's own wars, this one has been planned in advance though, I'll bet that Hamid will bomb some country in about 10 years.............I'm kidding, but it does seem a bit cliché does it not?

I did not know that. That sux, who do they export to by the way? As it will effect smaller countries only will it not? I'm pretty sure america produces it's own grain, and Brazil/South America deffinately does. Australia does also. Maybe parts of europe?

Or will this mainly effect Russia? Sorry my russian knowledge is pretty poor.
Drought, unfortunately for humanity is an uncontrolable force though.

Plenty of other natural disasters going on aswell at the moment, massive earthquake in equador. Flooding and landslides in china, with the death toll over 1000 already. And there was a huge earthquake somewhere else aswell, can't remember right now.

The Earth is having a bit of a tantrum lately right?! I think we are due though, unfortunately for us.......

An area of high pressure known as a "blocking high" has lingered over western Russia for weeks, disrupting the jet stream and possibly causing weather disasters across Asia and Europe.

Moscow has experienced hottest temperatures in recorded history

Nearly 4,000 kilometers (2,485 miles) away in Pakistan, monsoon rains fell with an intensity that had never before been observed

Areas under the high pressure will see drought and heat, as seemingly endless days of sun bake the earth. As the jet stream is continually forced around the high pressure zone, flooding can result from areas that see storms continually move over the same areas.
We saw this in Central Europe last week, as storm systems that could not advance into Eastern Europe and Russia continued to rain over parts of Germany and Poland, causing flooding.
The area of high pressure that has been parked over western Russia for the last several weeks also forced part of the jet stream south to Pakistan, an area where it normally would not be found during mid-summer.

So, while we can tie many of these global weather disasters together around a common meteorological trigger, we cannot say for certain if climate change is helping to pull that trigger, or perhaps loading the gun more frequently.

Not to worry, our farmers or ADM or Cargill are going to make mucho moolah. And for a while they'll pretend to be our friends.

Thanks bro, I knew that Russia was going through a heat wave of soughts, but had no idea it was so extensive. I'm gonna look into it a little more now.

Seriously, I don't know if it will be in our life times, but the world is gettig reading to close it's doors and shut up shop, and we are gonna be left out in the cold, I guess it is probably a good things that we have no idea as to when it will happen though, I just hope im in a happy place at the time :)
