with the RV cam on top of it. ![]() ![]() i'm a little worried. it starts hard when cold. it has a tick-tick in the valves? when you get on it from a stop the pistons rattle. when you let off at high speed it goes sptitch-sptitch. i have a shop i go to with a dyno-tune. i want them to take a look at it but last time i took my truck to them they told me the motor was blown. i think this one just needs to be dialed in. he said he had to change the carb and re-jet it to keep up with the cam. it does have a lot of power. i'm looking for a hill to climb. it runs really nice, i'm just a little anal. |

could just be your hearing the valve chatter. if it has not been gone over after the break-in then this can be fixed. but the piston rattle does not sound good.
i hope its minor for all the work thats been done. and for the hill climb, make sure to take a video cam with you.........

It sounds like you got yourself a good truck there fdd. Do you have any idea what compression ratio pistons those are? That cam sounds like a good street cam for a truck. I hope you have fun with it.
