I used to make these for my daughter when she was a wee lass.
1 Get your favorite pancake batter ready
2 Heat up your griddle or frying pan, I spray with pam
3 using a spoon add a dot for each eye and then a long curved line for the smile. Allow this to brown up a little, when the edges are turning golden your ready for the next step
4 pour on more batter over the smile bits to form a whole pancake.
5 when the first side is done flip it over and smile! Your pancake loves you!
6 once cooking is complete throw him on a plate.
7 Decision time! Do you (A) want to eat him or (B) make some dudes for him to hang out with? If your answer was (B) then return to step 3 otherwise proceed to step 8.
8 Butter that cake up if desired and syrup and enjoy cuz even after you chop some chunks out of him he still keeps smiling!
I could be imagining this but it seems to me that having mrs butterworth all over his face makes him smile even more!
