Last I heard Pioneer held it with 191 db. I know for certain that before them it was MMATS Audio with 189.1. An airliner flying directly overhead is only 100 db, so .........thats really fucking loud. I have sat in 162 db before, and it feels like your heart is going to implode, you can't breathe, and your eyes shake to the point of not being able to see properly......IT"S FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!

OOPS...I was off by about 10db on both of those...MMATS had it at 179.1, and Pioneer has it now at 179.7. Heres the link:

Termpro, db drag racing, spl meter, spl car audio, loudspeaker systems, wayne harris

In the menu on the left click "db drag racing", then click "world records" in the menu on the left on that page.

I also posted this (who holds the world record for db right now) on the car audio forum I am a member of and this was the response I got:

db drag racing i am friends with people there like team nutz and team 420 i havent messed with it in 5 yrs they just had world finals a couple of weeks ago
