Thick grey phlegm, no cold or smoking for weeks... HELP.

A few days ago I woke up with a really deep voice (Guess phlegm had built up on my vocal chords over night [I sleep with my mouth open]) Ever since I have been hacking up thick grey phlegm, I've never been a heavy smoker and I haven't hit the ganja in about 2 weeks... Also I don't have a cold/flu or anything... Could be allergies but why is it thick and grey... (Doctors say it is because you are a heavy smoker) This is really annoying and I am gunna get a few Oz of some dro tomorrow and I want to enjoy it...

have you talked to a doctor about it? or what you can do to get rid of it? my doctor told me about this stuff you can take to break up and loosen all the mucus phlegm, etc to get it out of your system...i just dont remember what it was called. maybe you could as a doc for that.

You may have damaged cilia in the lungs. The grey is dust!! Heavy, light smoker makes no difference . See a doctor because this is a common precursor to COPD . I hate seeing someone with a question like this. My mother died of emphysema and let me tell you , it is NOT a way you want to go. It slowly sucks the life right out of you. I quit after 30 years of smoking after seeing that no problem. Sorry bro but you have to make a decision, no fuckin around. Your body is telling you to stop. There is a point of no return. You can keep with the MJ but do it with brownies. Good luck

I would say drink lots of water... N dnt smoke for a Lil bit... Maybe exercise alittle too... If it dnt help see a doc... I was spitting up shit for a while once... Sum1 said to drink alot of water n exercise:.. It helped me wey... Try it homie:.. If not then jus call a doc cuz I doubt u wana do it... Took some will power for me to... N this happened about a week when I stopped I coughed up shit likethat...jus try it if not go straigt to the doc

I went to the doctor last week because I was coughing up green flecs in my phlem. I don't smoke cigarettes, but I had been smoking ganj pretty regulary. I quit for about 3 days and it hasn't come back. Most likely it is damaged cilia and your body telling you something, you should defintley listen to it.

When you stop smoking, or you don't smoke for a few weeks your lungs start to clean themselves of all that nastyass shiz that builds up in there, and there's only one place all that stuff goes...out your mouth!
