I made a choice...a very tough one.

Ok heres the drop, Ive stopped smoking weed. Before you all choke on your hits and shun me from the site...hear me out. I dont want to quit smoking. My girl has been taught (and lied to by the way I see how weed is taught as being a "bad and addicting drug that ruins lives'')..completely different subject there...but she is so set on the way she has been taught that I cant get her to believe anything I tell her about the herb.

Its really discouraging knowing that people are "brainwashed" (for lack of better word) that weed is BAD! So, in order to keep her in my life, I've dropped it. I'm still working on getting her to believe me on the whole weed subject, by simply letting her know evertyime she hears a good song that mentions weed, i tell her the band was probably enjoying a good blunt while writing the song

. She wont sit down with me and smoke, because in her past experiences with it, and yes she has smoked it, hypocritical, i know, she has had bad experiences with it. So i want her to just chill with me once and i want to show her what it CAN do for you.
So...Do you guys agree with my choice?

Your girl probably just wasn't in a comfortable environment when she tried it. If you haven't already, ask her what it is specifically about marijuana that she doesn't like. She will likely say something that it is a result of being a brain washed, so there you have an opportunity to show her the truth about what she believes. Show her some facts from a credible website.

If she still doesn't believe you and all the overwhelming evidence proving her concerns to be false, I would move on (if you're not married). I wouldn't let a woman change a thing about me. Compromise yes, but I wouldn't change myself.

Example: I'll cut back on the weed if you do... (whatever you want her to do for you)

Man, don't do anything [or not do anything] that you don't want to [want to] do for a bitch. A rule to live by. Anyways, have a t-break though, if that's what you're looking for. dude i quit blazin 5 yrs ago.. y? cuz it stopped bein fun i started gettin anxiety attacks etc.. i stoped for me if u stop 4 your girl next u will stop beatin off cuz of her.. would she stop one of her habits or guilty pleasures 4 u? doubt it.. do what u do 4 u no one else my advice....loose the suckubus.. and find a bitch who smokes.. unless of course she wants u to stop cuz u live in your rents basement have no job and r goin no where in life.. my 2 cents

exactley why i quit, panic attacks and my brain started hurting! lol
i still enjoy the company of smokers, they can smoke around me, i just dont get the urge anymore.
i quit strait away after i came back from amsterdam.

jeez guys, dont be so negative about his girl,the propaganda machine got her.so what? they trick tons of kids/people into believing the bs. if he likes/loves her enough to stop smoking pot so she will stay with him he should follow his heart and do so, how do you guys know how close they are? in the end its his choice to make, is you all ridiculing the girl he obviously has strong feelings for nessecary?
she may be a lil controlling and manipulative like i said b4 and so he should try to make sure the control level stays even (ie-neither has total control of the relationship)

I don't have a problem with people quitting, but quitting because your girlfriend is ignorant and you're choosing to bend to it? I dunno, I'd have more respect for you if you chose to stop smoking because you just didn't want to anymore, or because you need to piss clean, or something.

But for a girlfriend? Who obviously doesn't give you opinion the same weight you give HERS, since you can't seem to convince her that pot isn't what the propaganda makes it out to be...

Unless you are one of those people who totally fits the stereotypical stoner, I don't see why you're having a hard time convincing her. I had a friend who was seriously against weed, was totally taken in by the propaganda, thought that if you were stoned you couldn't function and blah blah...

After smoking in front of her one time, and continuing to have an intelligent conversation while doing so, and functioning normally, I managed to convince her that marijuana isn't at all what the propaganda makes it out to be.
