Yea I always knew there was a difference in different strains of weed... some will give you that energetic high like someone else said and the other ones will make you tired as hell. I do wonder if there's a way for you to be able to tell by looking at it.

Sativa makes me hella burn like I need to go to bed.Indica I can smoke all day and be fucked up and function perfect.Indicas are may favorite i try and smoke as little sativas as i can

yeah its on the front page.. basically the easiest way for someone to tell is look at the size of the plant and its leaves. shorter plants fat leaves tell you that the strain is more indica dominant.

or think of it like this
Sativa
they grow tall averaging beetween 4 and 16 feet, longh spaceing beetween nodes ie 3 to 6 inches though there are exceptions, usualy beetween 6 to twelve blades per leaf and pointy slender leaves with no pattern exclisinf the leafs veins.

Indica
grow short usually averaging around 4 foot, short internodes ie under 3 inches usually, they have 3 to 5 fingers per leaf and there leaves are short and fat and may boast patterns such as a marbled appeal to the leaves.

Ruderalis
nesides a waste of fucking time and very unreliable potency these plants dont so much as rely on photosynthesis normally. they fglower by maturity. they are small and are under 4 feet sometimes being as small as six inches or so. short internodes with lots of branching, the leaves are short and thick and usually has beetween 4 to 6 branches per leaf.

ruderalis are mainly known as the left overs from hemp fields where some breeders think its a good idea to mix ruderalis with sativa and indica strains for certain reasons.. well im not i am of the oppinion that letting these unstable traits into propper populations is a bad move. Ruderalis often has a low potency and thc rating though every now and then it can have an exception. low riders and some auto flowerig strains contain these genetics ie mighty might. afterall its the remainders of old helmp fields that have escaped eradication. AKA DITCH WEED (id class astralian bastard cannabis in this category kinda too lol. its usless)

there are other subdevisions but they dont really appeal to me in my eyes there are only three subspecies. technically they all evolved from cannabis sativa and changed over time to suite there climate.

HEMP
besides a big fuck around and risk to real populations out there

hemp is usually cannabis sativa that has been bread to boast little to basically no thc under 2% with some strains being in the points lol. so technically just reffer to it as shitty sativa, though there is hemp that looks like cannabis that you could smoke available now too. so i couldnt describe all this better im in a hurry.

oh the highs
generally sativa gives you the social cerebral energetic high and indica will give you the medicated couchlock symptoms. crosses such as indica/sativa will vary though the high will be somewhere in beetween or lean more to the sativa or indica depending on the mix.

I like it when an Indica makes me feel like I have a letterbox on my head They give me pain relief in my knees, and release from stress.
I'm alot more creative when I smoke Indica too.

Sativa's just don't really do it for me, unless they are, like, top quality.. but we don't get much that around here
