Does anyone else remember when a water pipe was called a bong? If you go into a head shop now and say bong, they look at you like your a cop. You usually get some sort of response like. "bongs are illegal, we sell water pipes" and they point at the bongs. At this point do the cops think to themselves "ohh yea thats totaly different those are ok". I understand why it changed at first but some point cant we just go back to calling them bongs especially on a site like this.

Because bong has a connotation that points directly to marijuana. water pipe can still be considered a tobacco piece. We all know what it's for but just because the system is liberal about sale doesnt mean we can rub it in their faces. And Idk where you live but here when you say "Bong" in a shop, your ass is taking a walk out the door.

Thats exactly my point. We know what it is for. But so do they. Can't we just go back now since we all know what it is. How many people here have EVER bought a bong just for tobbaco? To bad when the feds knock on my door I can't say it's not marijuana, it's weed.

A bong is a bong is a bong....and always will be! We all know what they are even if they call it a water pipe.
