I would graduate so if you ever do plan to go to college, you wont have to finish highschool first! I graduated hs in 07 and have only completed my general ed threw a community college. Ive been makings 60k+ starting a landscaping business thats lawn maintenance specific. I dont really have time to continue school at the moment so I can build but in the future it is a possibility. You dont need a college degree, but I definitely would prepare for the worst. Atleast get the hs degree. I was fucked up on oxycottin, morphine and various hallucinogens all four years in class and still managed to pass

RIU is for adults 18+. Not saying you are not 18 but this prolly isnt a very big topic here.

I finished high school, and am in college right now for electrical technologies and couldn't be happier. That being said, if your willing to work manual labor you can pull in a very respectable salary with or without any type of formal diploma/degree. Most the people I work with in my trade, and talk to in the trades around me don't really have any formal training. Just learned the trade on the job and are doing pretty well for themselves. It is getting harder and harder to get into some of these jobs though without some type of certificate, but still possible. But yes, I'm very happy I finished and if I did not then I would certainly be attending an adult highschool right now. (Really for me I would be returning even if it helped me career wise in no way simply because you can hold your head a bit higher knowing your that much more educated)
Shit did I say that? Well fuck man

I got bored with school so I dropped out in 11th grade. I actually graduted and got a HS diploma from a local community college before my HS class graduated. I started a job making not so great money as a welder when I was 18, and worked there until I was 24. I started growing weed at 21 with the help of an older friend to teach me. I got bored with my life and the idea of being in a rut when I was about 25, so I joined the army. I deployed to Afghanistan early 2007, and was blown up by an double stacked Anti-tank mine around christmas...medivaced to Bagram airfeild for one month and was RTD. I got out of the army recently and now have a job with the USPS. I make decent money, and have a pretty good life.
I wish that I would have gone to college. Other than that, i don't think I would change a thing.
Stay in school, and if you go to college, go for something that isn't already saturated. Pick a field tat will always be around, or in demand.

I would say with education, go as far as you possibly can. Knowledge is power these days and if you want a job where you can accomplish everything you want. I know people leave early, most people I know actually think it was the biggest mistake of there lives leaving school. I know at the time it's much easier to leave and you really want a break. If I where you, get the best education you can, which will ensure that you can get the job you want and keep working your ass of until you get there, can be hard at times but trust me, will be well worth it though.

Generally speaking you're right, but I know people with a masters in marine biology that work at target.
