iv been having this problem with my ps3 lately and it dosnt seem to want to play any games after it glitched and froze tonight.

the only thing i can possibly think of is, its not connected to the internet, and i dont know if its ever gotten any updates.

anyone ever had problems with a PS3 like this, and if so, what did you do to fix it? its a damn expensive piece of gaming gear not to be playing any games on. should i contact playstation(sony), maybe try and send it back to be fixed, like the red ring of death on 360?

My shit shut off on me once ( think the power cord fell out while playing ) and it would power up and the power lights worked right and shit but the screen was just black so I called the company and the chick told me to turn the system off all the way and turn it back on by the back and then hold the front power button untill it beeps three times and then let go it will turn back off then you hold the power button again till it beeps two times and let go and long behold that shit popped back on and works great

Long ago I had a problem with it not reading the games or Blue Ray's. Sony knew all about the problem and they fixed it for free, but I had to send it in.

yeah that happened to me too. do what k-town said, it works because i did it when i had that problem.

i had purchased the 60gig at launch, worked perfect until two months ago.
the problem started with the whole thing just shutting off like there was a power outage, when i turned it back on it would flash green than blinking yellow. this is a complete harddrive meltdown and i had to return it, skate 2 was stuck inside!

and they didnt return your $60 game? bummer, well i got to go try that now. ive been distracted, but if you dont hear from me tonight, its probably because it worked

no dice on this, but it wasnt really the same problem.

im headed over to playstations website to see if they have a 24hr hot line, and if this problem shows up on any faq they might have
