Default Canon D30 EOS EF Macro lens

As the title says - looking for suggestions on a Canon D30 35-70mm Macro lens.

Anyone have any experience with these? Are they good for close up bud shots?

i think you can find better lens for real macro shoots,but not bad.i always use cheep lens for my cell phone.i know this is not the best way but this works.

What do you suggest I look for, for some macro shots on the D30? The 70-200 zoom lens I've got simply won't allow me to get close up shots, so I need a macro lens of some form or is it a reducer?

how much i understood you got reducer.for real closeups with trihomes,hairs and all that nice looking things you need a macro lens.
