The first thing that comes to my mind is why that had to redo the Bradly Fighting Vehicle the first time. See when a tank round went through the troop compartment like a knife through butter it would leave quite a bit of molten metal behind it since being a Sabot round it used the tip to melt a hole in the armor. The armor was mostly made up of Aluminum which produced a nuerotoxic (I think) gas when burned basically turning a lightly damaged Bradly into a nazi's wet dream. That makes me think that while smoking out of a metal pipe would probably be fine, I don't know that I would risk it with so much more selection out there.

yah, that's what the guys would all yell when a sabot round entered their Bradley... watch out for the gas!! Anyone seen Bills head? Look out...gas!!
