I totally agree on prescription drugs... I have never had a GP. I have an accident I deal with it myself. Very recently I fell heavily onto my back on the stairs in my house... but after a few seconds of screaming in agony and worrying that I might not be able to walk, I tried... and I could stand. So I knew I was ok, and after smoking a nice spliff the pain subsided a lot. My point is that I don't like doctors or hospitals, and I also don't trust them. Then again, when an emergency arises they do come in handy. My first son was 3 months prem'... now he's starting nursery (kindergarten).

Yes, they have their uses... but telling me whether or not it's ok to smoke cannabis is not one of them.

Of course it shouldn't be for the doctors to decidedBUT if thats the only way for a person to get legalized then why wouldn't someone do it?
Why can't someone have the right to smoke pot as a mm and enjoy it?
I get what you are saying Skunk but perhaps the way you wrote it didn't portray your thought too well.

There are ALWAYS gonna be people taking advantage of the system. Everytime! That can be seen in any aspect of life because that is human nature BUT to make others feel like they are liars because they want to toke legally seems pointless to me.

Having to get a mm card to legally to able to smoke is 'bullsh*t.' Here in canada you can legally grow marijuana and not even have an mm card.
All you need to permission from someone with an mm card and right now health canada doesn't even have the man-power to do mm growing checks. There are so many ways I could get around growing my own weed but for me this is more out of principle. I'm gonna smoke wether or not I get one but for the protection of my hubby and myself, i prefer to be legit.

I don't need to lie about my situation and also believe in honesty. In fact honesty is a high priority in my life BUT I also feel that if there are others out there that would benefit from a mm card, iI would support them 100%.

Telling the truth is very important to me, and although I do agree that cannabis does give pain/mental relief... I don't think this should be the entire debate. Why should it be up to a doctor or the government to tell us what we can do? Are we harming anybody? No. People get less jail time for noncing little kids...

Don't get me started on how fucked-up our little society is... but this is the point.

For me the complete legalisation of cannabis will be the catalyst to an age of truth and honesty. Complete... not some doctor or government official having to tell me its ok. I see an end to mental illness, to criminality. This is what will become from this new age... I want it NOW.

Well skunkish,
I'm totally with you on this one. I despise doctors and hate going to see them BUT unfortunately I HAVE to. I don't trust them at all. They have far too much power for my comfort level but if thats the avenue I need to take to get legalized then I'll bite the bullet and go see them.

I am presently trying to get my mm card and my GP has me on a wild goose chase. He has sent me to a specialist because he has lost his right to sign my papers but when I asked him to just call a certain person at a 'compassion club,' he wouldn't. I've had this same doctor for about 9 years now and almost begged him to do this one thing for me and he wouldn't. All he talked about was prescribing a nose spray so he can get his percentage because its prescription. (most of them are snakes in my opinion but there are some good ones out there I'm sure)

you know what guys i got in a accident on my harley, and because of that accident i know have epilepsy, so if you dont think it helps people like me or others then do your effin research before you want to get on a site and start talking about things u have no idea about, must b some little punk ass kid that dont know wtf they r talking about, marijuana helps control my siezures if not prolong them, and i have a card that allows me to grow my own medication, get ur facts straight, if not get off this site and go back to ur video games

learn to read... not just learn to read, but grasp the meaning behind the words. Don't just jump on a bandwagon because it's easy.

lemme say first,,I love gettin stoned(truth),,and used to say ,,it cures my pain(lie)I been a roofer now for almost 25 years,,I have had 2 surgeries,,one back and one knee(other knee pending),,from repetetive bending ,overuse,,and plain stubborness(go hard or go home)I have fallen twice in this time,,once 2 stories,,and once 1 story,,the first time I crushed a heel,,and fractured the other,,the second time it was reversed,,I seen alotta T-3's and perks and demorol,,in my time,,but I can't take these things for a lifetime,,I got pain now(truth),,pain I'm sure I'll be with till the end,,back pain ,,slight limp,,constant ankle pains,,things seazing up when cold or wet,,or just total meltdown when I reach home daily,,now,,I see and feel the benefits of MM,,it's come down to,,if I have no pot,,I'm prolly not puttin in a HoLE day of work,,when I get home,,it's pot,dinner tv and sex ,,or no pot the couch and wake me when it's bedtime,,I have no MM card or watever it is,,nor do I know if I could get one,,but now,,I love gettin stoned(truth)and,,I smoke to cure pain(truth),,good thing I can still afford to buy ,,until I perfect my growing,,quality and quantity,,In my opinion MM could do amazing things for people,,as opposed to chewing perks daily till your liver quits

While the world believes that doctors know everything, and are here to actually help you. Cannabis, medical or otherwise will never be legalised.

Why does a doctor become a doctor? Is it because they want to treat sick people every day or live in a nice big house?

The point as ever, is the evil (thankyou 7x) that is money. Money brings about deceit and this vile mis-shapen society we live in today. There is more to the world than physical pain. There is an anguish, a general oppression of our freedom of thought. We are controlled... blah blah blah.

This is the point.

The Michigan Coalition for Compassionate Care has collected and turned in almost 1/2 million signatures. When the State has certified 304,101 of them it will put Medical marijuana on the ballot for 2008. VV

i dont think doctors know everything,,if they did,we wouldnt have diseases like HIV or Cancer,,,I don't believe a Doctor becomes a doctor,,and all the way through his many years of schooling and learning,,is constantly thinking about a big house,,and I don't know what part of the world you are from Skunky,,,anguish is not a medical condition,,and I think what I want,,oh,,and money has been the root of all evil since caveman stood upright
