The weed-cig?!?

I'm a smoker. I just bought the e-cig starter kit and I intend to add some homemade THC extract to the nicotine cartridges. It shouldn't smell strongly and, unless I am misinformed, you can smoke these ANYWHERE!

2 birds, 1 stone right?

Anyone tried this or know about the e-cig more in depth than I?:dunce:

I'm using some thc liquid I extracted myself a while back to see if it will even be worth it.

Here is my e-cig kit:

As long as it gets to a certain temp to combust the thc it will work, I don't knnow what that temp is but somebody knows here.

I just recently saw one of these things in action at a business convention. Crazy shit, man. One of my tobacco smoking friends says she loved it and can't wait to get one for herself.

Personally, I don't like nicotine, so I never tried it. =D

Also, about smoking 'em anywhere, there was still plenty of nicotine leaden smoke coming out of peoples air holes, stuff I wouldn't want to be down wind of. Besides, they light up as if they were lit so people are still gonna think you're smoking a cig and will probably ask you to "put it out" if it's the place for that sort of thing... like here in California that's everywhere. =P

Thats why I think it will work. The e-cig comes equipped with a heating element which enables the delivery of a vaporized propylene glycol/nicotine solution. Thus, when you suck in, a sensor triggers the heating element (aka an atomizer). So this could quite possibly work to vaporize the THC/nicotine solution because (correct me if I'm wrong) the boiling point of THC is lower than that of nicotine:

boiling point of THC=200C
boiling point of nicotine=247C

Actually vh13, I read that as far as the FDA and WHO is concerned, the vapor emitted by the e-cig contains no carcinogens. Hence, it can be smoked in places that would not regularly allow smoking.

Also, I think non-smokers residing in places where weed is illegal could benefit from this as well, being as all they would need to do is replace the nicotine with THC so they could smoke out at bars or wherever nonchalantly. . . .and forfeit the sweet taste of fresh nugs of course.

Sounds like a cool idea but I'm new to the "THC solution" thing. How is that made? But even if you had to only smoke it where you could smoke cigs that is a big improvement over how much you have to hide to take a regular toke.

IT WORKS!!!
Here's what I did:
1 mL THC
1 mL nicotine solution ( I used the mint chocolate chip flavor..totally awesome btw)
.25 mL glycerin

(note: mix the THC with the glycerin first because liquid THC by itself is super sticky and will stick 2 your graduated cylinder (or whatever your using) and make mixing the solution a big mess.

Mix the solution above (unless you don't smoke cigs, then forget about the nicotine and add whatever flavor you want) and put it in a dropper bottle and drop 4-5 drops on your filter. Now, the filter material that came with the e-cig did not hold the solution very well so I used polyester fiberfill instead. It hits fine and there was no smell whatsoever. Also, the THC clogs the atomizer up real good after alot of use, I soaked it in some vinegar and rinsed it off, then it was good as new. Cig smokers should seriously consider experimenting with this one.:bigjoint:

I have seen and read about them,do they work as a stop smokeing aid.Good thinking on useing them as a mini vaporizer. Will have to get one before the FDA cracks down on them.OPH

Shit dude, sorry for the delayed response ( I've been glued to Stephen King books for weeks now).

Well, I just tried putting a small nug in my e-cig and it worked.....but....you have to hit it harder and longer in order to get the atomizer good and hot to evaporate the THC. It works, but not nearly as well as straight up extract does.

However, THC/Nicotine solution works VERY WELL!!!! I smoke it at school, work, bars, and everywhere else I go. I'm in love. I want to marry my e-cig.....seriously.:weed:

Also, I just discovered that canned air works much better for cleaning the atomizer versus vinegar. It's cleans quicker and doesn't leave the funky aftertaste.
