The sex industry is one that does well even in bad economies... a friend of mine works at a sex toy/lingerie shop and makes commission on sales... and she's made MORE money in the last 6 months than she ever has working that job. People will always find money in their budget for dildos, it seems.

but if they are buying more porn, dildos, and fleshlights; then that would probably translate into less money for the actual "working" girls/guys/?? out there....

Surprisingly, she tells me most of what she sells she sells to couples. She'll have the occasional lonely gal wander in, and last week there was a REALLY creepy guy that game in and bought the entire stock of "joke" inflatable sheep... but for the most part, couples come in to buy sex toys and costumes and the like.

And maybe! A fleshlight won't give you herpes. XD

It would seem that with hard times (pardon the pun lol) that people have to have more home cooked meals (pleasuring themselves) instead of getting takeout every night (Prostitutes)... lol

"Dammit! Im sooo broke! I cant afford my mistress! Now I will just have to have sex with my wife! DOH!" hahahaaha
