I went to Oaksterdam this morning. I decided to wait on buying the clones and just check out there bud. For a place that is supposed to be voted 1st place "best dispensary 3 years in a row"...........i was no to impressed. I showed up at like 1030am and they still had like 100 clones so i dont know about having to show up early but then it was a holiday so it might have been different. The facility was nothing more than a "whole in the wall "club all in back . Very small. sold crappy smoothies up front . but even if you wanted one you would pass because the 300 pound black man telling his "story" was just a little profane and scary.
The product: was in a little binder. lol I hate clubs that do this. Bulldog Cafe does this as well. 3 kinds oh kief or hash. nothing that looked good for the price and no familiar names or anything. 3 mid grade buds for a good price 30 an 1/8 . but who cares about mid grade? 3 kinds of " high" grade. 44 dollars 1/8 including tax . not bad price at all. They had Chem Dog which i bought. Blue dot wich looked a little premature and wet. I really don't think it was even blue dot, as i am familiar with this strain and i know what it looks like and it is incredible. i cant remember the 3rd. was the weakest of the 3. NOT IMPRESSED. bought a 1/8 of Chem dog it was a good price but not that impressed i just bought it cause i always feel funny going into one of these places and not buying anything. You know what imean? And one more thing. IF they specialize(are affiliated with the " Oaksterdam univ/ catalog, why dont they carry any of the stains that they sell in clone form ? they didnt have one......So i jammed over too C.A.R.E. Way nicer facility. Cute chick behind the bar. about 20 different strains to choose from . almost all were better than the " high " grade over at blue sky. BUT oh the price was really high. I ended up with a half an 1/8 of Black Domina for 32.50 bucks. They had some great stuff but had a very limited selection as far as more than a gram. You could get a gram of anything but only had more than that amount in a few strains . They did have a " special" ounce for 350 . Lavender and kush something i cant remember. both looked fabulous . But of course i didn't have enough cause i ended up buying the 1/8 over at blue sky! damn it! so i just said fuck it and bout 1.75 grams and went home. I think i am gonna go back and by 2 clones. They had bubba kush and blue dream . The question is ? who has the " Real DEAL"? Blue sky? i mean they have this big catalog and shit and cant even sample me a 20 sack? WTF im not believing . Oh and CARE was cool but i tried to ask the grower who was bringing in clones about a strain that he didn't grow and i didn't even get eye contact hardly any info . SORRY MR. Cool cannabis club grower guy....but i was actually asking about a legitimate strain(Lowryder) and he basically brushed me off ....Yuk!!! i just cant wait till i get my hand on a good strain . Then i will just clone it myself and be done with it because i think these places play a lot of 'games " with the names and strains that they sell.Any body that can help me out or guide me into some good clones(thats all i want) will be soooo appreciated. Its funny, i have had my card for so long 10 + years and every year these places have a different owner and you honestly never know what your getting Clone wise at least . the bud is cool, if you know your shit and can spot imposters or badly cured product.
