Attention Fellow Americans
So i need the attention of those who are familiar with how to start a petition to over rule something in my community. (i know i could call a laywer, but i would appreciate your opinions).
OK so heres the deal... Me and my buddy today go down to the rec and parks field by my house. They just installed an artificial turf football/soccer/lax field and we wanted to play on it. (understand this is outside with only a small fench surrounding the field... Also to note, there are 13 fields in this park.) So we play and my freinds 3 year old is playing with her ball. After 5 mins this "staff member" drives up on this cart and tells us to "get off the field now". This guy was a dick. he is like 70 years old and honestly enjoyed kicking the 3 of us off. I was pissed so i ask him where is the sign? where is the paper stating that im not allowed to use this field? and is this field not public property? ... He could not answer any of my questions or furbish any documents. I also walk around the entire park and there are 0 signs stating that you can not use any field when not in use by a rec team. .... Long story short the cops get called and treaten to arrest us for trespassing (take note there are about 100 people playing in the adjacent playground and bbq pavilions) ... We leave but later when i got home i searched online for the rules and reg of the park and couldnt find anything. so i gave them an email asking for rules and regulations of my local park.
So heres my plan. I want to start a petition that i would get everyone in the area to sign (i live in a highly populated area, so filling it shouldnt be a prob) it would suggest the field be used by the public while not in use by a rec team. ...thing is i dont know where to start to do so
EDIT: Forgot to mention that there are atleast 3 other artificial fields in my area that are the exact same thing and they are open to the public.

I know a lot of petitions have to be signed by registered voters so they can verify them. Did you try complaining to the park and rec headquarters?
its not open til tommorow... I may be their first phone call. IM seriously pissed i cant use that field when not in use. .... Its not like its a freaking stadium or something. just a rec and parks field. I cant wait to give them a piece of my mind

Do this.
1. Walk to the park with a ball.
2. When you get there PLAY or whatever.
3. Play there and wait for the asshole to come and tell you to get off of the field
4. DON"T MOVE!
5. If arrested, call lawyer and take them to court.
what country do you live in? America? Its a free country so Fight for your rights. If you don't who will?
