I know there must be a thread on this somewhere but i cant find it. But i want to know if you can give blood after you've smoked pot? I've looked on the net and can't find a solid answer. I know that they cant tell anyone "aka cops ect.." if they find anything because of the confidentiality thing. And if you tell them you've smoked they will take your blood anyway so you save face, but will toss it out. But if you don't tell them do they test for it? I love giving blood and i have a very good blood type "O positive" It saves lives and i have had to receive blood before so it feels good to give back. There are tons of people here someone must work with this type of thing; I just dont want to be put on a black list

i know smokers that regularly give blood.... they have never said anything to them about it... but maybe they are just throwing the "tainted" blood away; though i cant see them doing that EVERY time without mentioning something.
