Where I hunt a really good wheeler is not a luxury, its a necessity. Travel through a swamp a couple miles - serious shit indeed, and after all the rainfall in the interior this summer they will be full.
Are you looking towards next fall?, year after?

And the skyline looks somewhat like Lauderdale, altho you are a ways out & I haven't see that view for a few years.

im thinking next year. i have not plan on anything but local haunts this year.. i will be financially ready to travel next year

Ok, boys and girls, just got back from my annual Moose hunt in the Interior of Alaska - things were slow going, the rut started later than "normal" and only spotted one bull the entire 10 day season & he looked too good to pass up. 37 inch spread, ranged 376 yd offhand shot with my 30-06 Ackley Improved. Around 650 lbs of boned out delicious meat to add to the freezer. About an 800 yd pack, 10 trips total but two deep gullies between the 4 wheelers and the moose. Satisfying exhaustion by the time the deed was done & rewarded with a well earned beer!
Also found an old trapline or market hunters cabin long since fallen in - approx 80 to 100 years old.
Note the weight on the wheelers - thats one entire boned out moose on two wheelers. This is the only way to travel in this country! Bad Ass bikes with bad ass tires.
I'll post a few more pics later.

congrads on the moose. was that with rifle or bow.. im going for a 3 day camping trip leaving 2day.. were im going for those 3 days is a hair tag for deer and elk.. 3 zones that connect 2gether.. hopfully somthing will happen.. congrants again

any deer buck or doe and any elk bull or cow. as long as what you harvest its not on the tittie.
other zones here are 3 point or better for bull elk or a cow and forked horn or better for deer..
