What is best thing to use instead of water in a bong?

My friends and I had a plastic bong maybe a foot tall. You know, The transparent ones with a grip. Anyways. We got really drunk and were way stoned and chopped up FROZEN lemon and put in the bong on top of a makeshift screen we had inside for this adventure. Straight up, Some of the best tasting bud i've had from an external flavor. Ice cold water and a chopped up frozen lemon.It's so cold it even keeps all the smoke below the mouth piece without having to hold it. ^_^
