Hey fellas, Came to your glorious forum to ask you's a question. Iv'e been on the bongs for a few weeks again now, Still coushing like a maniac. Just wondering if there's anyway to reduce the coughing. I think one of the problems might be i don't smoke cigarettes? Cheers.

When you use a bong, use the first breath to fill up the tubes, let it cool and then with your hand over the top and then suck the rest up, might help a little.

Try iced water.

See a doctor and make sure you don't have an infection or something that's making you cough more than you should.

Vodka in a bongs nice with ice cubes...

I dont really do bongs anymore, as my lungs started to hurt and feel tight, and I would rather smoke a joint anyday over a bong.

get a bong with a perculator works nice!

yea man first of all if you are coughing, you are either:


Inhailing hits that are too large.
you are inhailing the stagnant air in the carb. If I dont hit the carb immidiatly the smoke sours and I cant even hit it as its too harsh

if you are taking small hit and still coughing you better stop and see a doc first an formost.

if you are a brand new weed smoker who has never smoked cigs then yea it will take a while to get you virgin lungs primed

I cough a lot

I smoke from nothing but glass. No paper, no metals, or ceramics. Water bongs seem to be smoother hitting for me. And yes Ice is nice.
One thing that may help is keep a glass of ice water in hands reach, after you exhale take a drink. This will ease the the tension in throat.
