    Default heat issues

i am having heat issues. i heard that using 24 lighting isn't a good idea but, that is the only option i can think of right now. the room is airtight, the supply and exhaust fans are pretty weak and are in a fixed position. my heat has been getting up to 99 and humidity has been getting down to 15%. the plants have went yellow on the tips, a little brown, and crispy. the lights are a good distance away. i have 250w hps in there right now. and 4, high lume, flourescents. i have a 250w mh not being used right now. i was thinking that i can keep the floresecents on 24hrs, and run the hps on for 1hr, then off for 2, and keep it on that schedule. any suggestions? does this seem like it may work to keep the heat and humidity right?

I would use the MH for veg but you definately need to straighten out the ventilation issue ASAP. Plants need fresh air all the time. Your cooking them with the high temps and low humidity. Your temps should be 75 degrees and humidity (for veg) can be 60 -70 %

1st order of business is fresh air flow

well, i moved the ballast so its no longer in front of fans, that should help the flow some. the 4 high lume 40w flor bulbs are on 24hrs, the 250 hps is on for 1 hour then off for three, all day long. temps are from 70-80 now. humidity is 40%. guess i'll find out how zero dark time affects veg.

Why not try to get a steam humidifier... its much easier to heat up moist air...
