if you grow in a large quanity,what can they do fine you or prison time?

Contrary to popular belief..it is very illegal to grow weed in The Netherlands and the smokiing/sale of weed in the coffeeshops is merely tolerated..and is also technically illegal.

besides..we have better weed/genetics here in the US!

its a personal use deal - a few personal plants are fine (fine meaning tolerated).

The way it is "meant" to work. a bunch of personal growers grow a few plants - they give or sell the extra to a coffeeshop. in reality, this is not effective. the shops go through SO much cannabis, the little growers extra wouldnt be enough. In reality, they have illegal grow ops producing MASS amounts of herb, that is delivered to the shops. They also import a great deal via ships in the docks. Some legal, some illegal.

There is a cool video on youtube that shows a coffeeshop owner taking bud out of a garbage bag saying "illegal" and putting it into little baggies and then saying "legal". Once its in the smaller bag, it is tolerated.

remember, 30 grams in your home is tolerated... 5 grams in your pocket is tolerated (when on the streets or in public places)...

Coffeeshops are only allowed so much Cannabis on location. they almost always exceede this limit to keep up with demand. when the cops want to shut down a shop for whatever reason, a simple raid to check the amount of cannabis onsite can result in getting the coffeeshop license suspended.

100 plants would land you in the hootzgow. 5 plants would get you a couple good friends.

so i would go to jail forsure?

I understood it was legal to grow up to 5 plants per person on private property. I doubt you would actually go to prison for anything less that 100 plants, seems more relaxed over there, but beenthere_donethat is right, its not legal, just tolerated.

i know i just dont want to go 2 prison for growing and get stuck with a killer in a cell
