im not fighting against anyone.....all im saying is if you think barak obama is going to answer the phone when you call that number you are in for a surprise when you get an operator or a programed response. He is the president of the united states compassionate he may be but in his first 2 weeks of presidency there are more pressing issues than answering a phone and telling people how they can change shit

And i am all for sending that letter that you linked....I sent it....im just saying the whole phone bit is a lost cause

Send the letter people. It wont take much of your time and its for a noble cause. Help the people that need medical cannabis for their ailments. Stop the goverent from ignoring what the people want. Right now their are 359 signatures. Thats not enough! Im sure the potheads at RIU can easily make it 1000 today if you take a couple minutes to do it. I did it and you can too! Where did you get this idea that I said he was gonna answer....a secretary will answer, she will isten, then add a little tally mark to a list of people who called on the topic, then the president will go over the list and find what issues are of a higher priority.

If everyone had the attitude that it cant be done, then nothing will be done. If you want to get the presidents attention its done with a petition. nowstopwhinning is not talking about a phone call. Its a petition and the more that send it the better our chances are to get something done. Its how our system works. The problem is too many dont get involved but want to complain about how things are. It seems to be the American way! The phone call is after the fact. So everyone send the petition!
