My dog Ike is some kinda of lab mix.

I can see my dog doing that.
He is a big baby though.
He is scarred of the water he has never been swimming.
So he may not be a lab mix.
He kinda looks like a rot since whoever had him chopped his tail.
He has white though from his chin all the way under hit to his tail..

second pic makes me think lab/setter or lab/springer spaniel, though he has that big barrel chested rott look in the first pic, lol dogs are great, i used to be a groomer for a few years.

Yeah he is about 110 lbs. and 2 and half years old.

I was thinking of taking him to a groomer.
He has a really thick coat.
I would like to see him loose about half of it.
He has hair that comes off the back of his front legs.
It kinda flairs back. Mostly noticeable from profile.
He also seems to have alot of unecessary hair behind his ears.

You can not tell from these pics but, he has has brown half of the way down his legs.
If he did not have the white underneath him he would just be black and tan.

yeah get a pair of decent sheers and cut out the hair behind the ears, if they get too long it can matt up really bad, and cause hemotomas when removed. trimming the hind end and front hocks is easy, just comb them out nice and snip snip!! my guess would be rott springer cross, it has the jowls and long hair of a spaniel and the coloring and body structor of a rott. just my guess though.

I comb him with a shed comb frequently.
He has 2 coats (shorter and longer)

I do use shears to do that from time to time.
I was thinking of buying some electric sheers (razor) whit trim quard.

I usually bath him once every two weeks.

That is interesting the rot and the springer spaniel mix.
I never would have thought of that.
I was thinking maybe saint benard in there somewhere.

I got him from this girl who found him on the side of the road.
She had a little pomeranian and Ike broke his leg when he was about 6 mo's old.
So I took him she was scarred of how big he would get.
When I first got him he did not have any white on him.
Then at about 8mo's he got a little pinch of white on his chest and it spread from his chin to his tail.
