Hello all. I did a little research on vaporizors and finally purchased a nice "Hot Box" fossil stone vaporizor. It cost me less that $200 and that was the main selling point as I could not see paying $600 for a Volcano. It burns nice and I have no complaints. WHY WOULD ANYONE PAY 3X MORE FOR A VOLCANO? IS IT WORTH IT??

i have a older style volcano, and i love mine. i have a few homemade vaps and the volcano is 100x better. haveing said that ive never tried anything but my volcano and my homemades, so cant really say if any better than what youve got.

right-on. I appreciate your opinion. That is what I am hoping to get - everyone's opinion. But, can you be more descriptive as to WHY the Volcano is "100x better" as you put it? I've heard the Volcano is superior, but exactly why do you think it's superior? Thanks, again.

well my homemade vaps do not have any adjustments, just on or off. it impossible to get it to burn right, so you spend the biggest part of the time your high turning it on and off. major buzz killer. you have no idea how many times i have cooked the hell outa my pot cuz i forgot it was on.
and with the bags you can make 1 hell of a lung hitter.
the biggest down side i can see with volcanos are the size. kinda hard to hide.

I just got my volcano last week. I absolutley love it. But, I've also never used anything else except homemade vaporizers.
I love how you can just walk around with a bag and chill or pass it around or whatever and it won't like, burn away like a joint or something.
Plus it comes with a 3 year warranty, so that's always nice.

I got one of those box ones a while ago, maybe two months or so. It worked pretty well, and I enjoyed vaping out of it.

A couple of days ago I went to turn it on and the digital part doesn't work at all, basically the thing is completely dead after like two months of use. Such crap, I wasted like $150 on it.

that sucks. Mine is similar to that. No controls, though. Just on and off.

I enjoyed it, but sometimes I just felt like I had to suck and suck and suck to get a good hit and sometimes I would overcompensate and hit it too hard or whatever, it was weird.

I guess that is the appeal of the Volcano, it perfectly vaporizes everything, and then u just effortlessly toke out of a bag.

What kinda smoke do you get with your box?

With my box I just need to take a long, even draw for the best hit. I can see the white misty vapors as they travel up my whip. If I slow the drag down, the hit I get is more rich. A quick draw on the whip and the hit is not as rich. I regulate my draw by how it feels on my lungs. A vapor hit feels very "heavy" in comparison to smoke and a big hit will kinda "pinch" the top of my lungs at my throat. Too much vapor chokes me all to tears.....

Anyways, I'm gonna try to vapor fresh bud and see if I even need to dry my bud before enjoying it
