Duel Forum. HOW WILL IT WORK?

Sensible ideas only please. Then we can make a list at the end and get them into a manageable idea.

I'm a little rushed for time at the mo', hence my not being able to put any ideas forwward myself. Although I imagine everything I can think of will be thought of by you guys anyhow. Cheers.

Not a cop out, and I didn't start it all. The credit belongs to fdd and KP. Not a cop out because I have been overly busy today and I have an appointment at the gym in an hour.

Right. I suggest a whole forum, based much like the ones we have already. threads will be started, one for each competitor and maybe a mod' can drag the best bits from both into a seperate summary thread where a panel of judges (crop idol/pot idol. lol) can work some kind of scoring system. How's that? Gotta go.

okay so this should probably be its own section.. not just forum. There should be a forum for call outs/challenges, general discussion forum on who's kicking ass in the battle forum, and then a battle forum where there'll be 'grower' v 'grower' threads STICKIED at the top. The only people allowed to post in those threads will be the competitors. other wise this might get real messy

i like the idea of a mod controlled thread. we should have an open thread for discussions about the grow with posting open for everyone. then a mod can take the actual 2 competitors posts out and put them in a locked thread.

we can start with most effective method of germination.
we can start with any 10 seeds of the individuals choice.
each individual will photograph and post their method.
we will be graded on # of hatched beans and time it took to hatch them.

that will be phase #1

I'm really interested in this idea, if you couldn't already tell. I think it would also be a good idea to also consider investment vs. return as part of the contest. I know my $60 DIY 414 watt cfl light rig won't produce like a $200 hid setup, but I'm certain it'll produce several times it's cost in one harvest.

i think we should focus on who is the better grower. not so much on how the specific bud turns out but more on how the grower deals with their grow. it would be impossible to compare finished products. unless all the seeds were exactly the same. even when i get 10 of the same seeds there will always be stronger and weaker plants in the bunch.
we should focus more on how we do each aspect of the grow. who's is the most efficient. easiest to maintain. least amount of problems. how problems are handled when they do arise(this one is very important). basically, which GARDEN would you prefer. not which plant.

i feel by doing this we can keep a lot of clutter out of this competition.
