Get HIGHER LONGER Off LESS BUD With OTC Pill

I'm too stoned to give this thread the proper introduction it deserves, but no matter, this thread is about an over-the-counter heartburn medication called Tagamet. The actual drug is cimetidine. Anyway, supposedly if you take a dose of this medication (recommendation that I've heard is 800 mg or 4 pills) about 45 minutes to an hour before you smoke, you will get super baked for longer than usual off a small amount of bud.

I'm too high to remember exactly how or to even bother checking another internet source, but Tagamet basically prevents cannabinoids from being filtered through your liver for a few hours, or something very similar to that. So...you smoke and get a large buildup of THC and other cannabinoids and they stay floating in your body for like 3 or 4 hours instead of being normally filtered out. It's doesn't 100% block the filtering, but it blocks it quite a bit.

One of my very experienced psychedelic-using friends recently tried taking 4 Tagamet before a toke (this guy has a high tolerance and needs 2 bowls of good chron to get high) and said that he was stoned stupid for 5 hours off 3 hits. I don't know if that's a realistic expectation, but I've heard multiple accounts of Tagamet being used to increase and lengthen a weed high, and I plan on trying it soon.

Perhaps someone here has some experience? Or maybe someone else can properly explain how this works?

No, the point is that this pill gets you higher from the weed itself by preventing a lot of cannabinoids from being filtered out of your body. It just keeps the THC in your body longer when you smoke. Or at least that's how I understand it. It has nothing to do with getting high from the pill; the pill itself, even if you took a handful, would only make you slightly dizzy at worst. The pill acts with the weed to get you higher. Synergy. Doesn't that interest anyone else?

keeps the thc in your system longer and prevents it from being filtered as quickly? That doesnt necessarily sound like a good thing, especially if you have to piss clean

please explain how a heartburn pill makes a weed high last longer? the only way i can think of is if thc and tagamet are metabolized by the same enzyme.

i just read the article and i was right. they are both metabolized by the same enzyme (CYP2C9). this may actually work as when things compete for enzymes their effects can add up.

Well according to my friend who tried it, it definitely works. He said he wouldn't recommend doing it frequently because there could be some side effects taking a high dose of a heartburn pill with any regularity. But I'm definitely curious to try it, and the dude said Tagamet is only like $7 at Wal-Mart. If I can spend $7 and somehow get way more mega-ripped than usual...I dunno, I forgot.

Just use lecithin granules, same effect, but natural and actually good for you.
Works a lot better if you consume the weed with it but it also works to a lesser degree if you smoke it instead.
Lecithin granules are easily available at any health food storebongsmilie
P.S. You don't smoke the lecithin,lol,only ingest it:mrgreen:

u can get cimitidine pills everywhere. seems like every store has their own generic version now, real cheap

i took otc's for heartburn for years. idk how it could work, and i don't think i've ever experienced any difference as a result. but maybe i'm just use to it.lol.

i know our body's convert thc to a higher cannabanoid when ingested, resulting in a more intense and much longer lasting high. i guess being broken down by the same enzyme as thc could do it, but by how much?

how much of this is a placebo effect?
